The ACSL SOTEN Standard Camera is the everyday payload for the SOTEN, built around a 1-inch 20 MP sensor with a mechanical shutter. It handles mapping, inspection, and documentation work at the largest sensor size in the SOTEN lineup, and swaps out in seconds when a mission calls for thermal, zoom, or multispectral instead.

- 1-inch 20 MP sensor: the largest sensor among the SOTEN payloads, capturing 5448 x 3632 stills in JPEG, DNG, or both at once.
- Mechanical shutter: an 8 to 1/2000 s mechanical shutter for mapping passes, with an electronic shutter to 1/8000 s available.
- Wide exposure latitude: an f/2.8 to f/11 aperture range and ISO 125 to 6400 cover bright sites and low-light inspection work.
- 4K video: records 3840 x 2160 at 30fps, or 2.7K at 60fps for smoother motion, in H.264.
- 3-axis stabilization: pan, tilt, and roll stabilization holds ±0.02° control accuracy for steady video and consistent nadir framing.
- Wide gimbal coverage: ±90° pan and a -115° to +45° tilt range let the operator look down, level, and above the horizon.

Which aircraft does this camera work with?
The Standard Camera is designed exclusively for the ACSL SOTEN and mounts through the aircraft's one-touch swappable payload interface.
How does it compare to the Optical Zoom Camera?
The Standard Camera uses a larger 1-inch 20 MP sensor with a fixed 28 mm equivalent lens and a mechanical shutter, which suits mapping and general documentation. The Optical Zoom Camera trades sensor size for a 2.5x zoom range on a 1/2.3-inch 12 MP sensor, which suits standoff inspection.
Why does the mechanical shutter matter?
A mechanical shutter exposes the whole frame at once. Electronic rolling shutters read the sensor line by line, which can skew subjects when the aircraft is moving, so a mechanical shutter is generally preferred for mapping and photogrammetry passes.
Can I swap between this and other SOTEN payloads?
Yes. The SOTEN uses a tool-free one-touch camera mount, so a single aircraft can change payloads in the field between flights.
Is it weather resistant?
Installed on the SOTEN aircraft, the camera is rated IP43, which covers protection from solid objects larger than 1 mm and from spraying water at up to 60° from vertical. Operating range is 0°C to 40°C at 10% to 90% humidity.
What is the warranty period?
All products come with a 12-month manufacturer warranty.
