DroMight
DroMight™ Talon Drop System For DJI Matrice 400
Ships in 2-3 weeks
The DroMight Talon Drop System for the DJI Matrice 400 is a purpose-built payload release that lets you carry and drop a payload directly from your aircraft, controlled entirely through DJI. It features full DJI PSDK integration, so the Talon loads as a native payload and you arm and trigger the release straight from the DJI Pilot 2 app on the RC Plus 2, with no extra transmitter, receiver, or workarounds. Built on the proven design of our Talon V2 for the Matrice 350 and re-engineered for the M400, it mounts securely to the underside of the aircraft and adds just 1 lb 1 oz to your setup. Designed and assembled in the USA.
Purpose-built payload drop system for the DJI Matrice 400. Native PSDK integration, arm and release from the DJI Pilot 2 app, no extra hardware. Designed and assembled in the USA.
Features
- Full DJI PSDK integration: the Talon loads as a native payload, and you arm and trigger the drop directly from the DJI Pilot 2 app on the RC Plus 2, no additional hardware or workarounds required
- Mounts to the underside of the Matrice 400 with four screws at DJI's recommended heavy-load mounting position, and connects through the E-Port V2
- Single, reliable release mechanism for controlled, on-command payload drops
- Lightweight at just 1 lb 1 oz fully installed, leaving the aircraft's payload budget for your actual drop load
- High effective drop capacity: the release itself is not the limiting factor. Carry up to roughly 5.5 kg (about 12 lb), based on the Matrice 400's 6 kg rated max payload at sea level minus the Talon's weight
- Quick to install and remove, so you can add drop capability to your M400 and take it off again as missions require
- Built on the field-proven DroMight Talon V2 platform, re-engineered for the Matrice 400
- Designed and assembled in the USA

- 1 × DroMight Talon Drop System for the DJI Matrice 400
- All hardware needed to mount it to the aircraft and connect to the drone
Please note: This drop system is built for the DJI Matrice 400 and connects through its E-Port V2. It is a different product from our Talon systems for the Matrice 350, Matrice 300, and Matrice 30 Series, which are not interchangeable. The aircraft is sold separately. Operate payload-drop missions in accordance with FAA regulations, including the rules governing carriage and dropping of objects from a UAS, and follow your agency's standard operating procedures.
FAQ
How do I trigger the drop?
Directly from the DJI Pilot 2 app on the RC Plus 2. The Talon integrates with DJI's PSDK and loads as a native payload, so you arm and release it from the controller with no additional transmitter, receiver, or workaround hardware.
How does it mount to the Matrice 400?
It attaches to the underside of the aircraft with four screws at DJI's recommended mounting position for heavy loads, and connects through the E-Port V2. All the hardware you need to mount and connect it is included.
How much can it drop?
Up to roughly 5.5 kg (about 12 lb). The release mechanism itself is not the limiting factor; usable drop weight is governed by the aircraft, based on the Matrice 400's 6 kg rated max payload at sea level minus the Talon's own weight of 1 lb 1 oz. Usable capacity decreases with altitude and depends on your flight-time and balance requirements, so plan your payload within the aircraft's published limits.
How much does the Talon weigh?
1 lb 1 oz (about 482 g) fully installed.
Is it a single or multiple release?
It is a single-release drop system, designed for a controlled, on-command payload drop.
Which aircraft does it fit?
The DJI Matrice 400. It is purpose-built for that airframe and its E-Port V2. Our Talon systems for the Matrice 350, Matrice 300 Series, and Matrice 30 Series are separate products and are not interchangeable.
Where is it made?
The DroMight Talon is designed and assembled in the USA.
