CZI
CZI GL10 Gimbal Spotlight for DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise Series
The CZI GL10 is a compact gimbal-stabilized spotlight and emergency-flasher payload designed specifically for the DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise Series (M3E, M3T, and M3M). Dual LED searchlights produce 1,800 lumens with a 12.5° tight beam that effectively illuminates targets from 50 to 150 m below the aircraft. A ±90° pitch-stabilized gimbal lets the operator aim the light independently of aircraft heading, and the AI Follow feature automatically keeps the beam on a moving subject the camera has locked. Integrated red and blue flashing lights add an emergency-vehicle visibility signature, all in a 150 g, 28 W payload that fits the smaller airframe of the Mavic 3 Enterprise.
Gimbal-stabilized dual spotlight with AI subject following and red/blue emergency flasher, built for the DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise Series. 1,800 lumens, ±90° tilt, 150 g, 28 W.
Features
- Dual LED searchlights producing 1,800 lumens (±3%) with a 12.5° tight beam, effective at 50 to 150 m distance and illuminating up to ~917 m² at the maximum range
- Gimbal-stabilized pitch axis with ±90° travel, so the operator can aim the beam straight down, horizontally, or anywhere between without yawing the aircraft
- AI Follow: the spotlight automatically tracks a subject the aircraft's camera has locked, keeping the beam on a moving person or vehicle without manual re-aiming
- Integrated red and blue flashing lights for emergency-vehicle visibility, useful for public-safety operations, scene-management signaling, or aircraft visibility in mixed airspace
- Compact 130 × 121 × 63 mm form factor at only 150 g — sized specifically for the Mavic 3 Enterprise's smaller payload envelope, where a full M300/M350-class spotlight would be too heavy
- Low total power draw of 28 W (20 W LED, 15 V supply), so the impact on Mavic 3 Enterprise flight time is moderate even with the spotlight at full output
- Mounts to the DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise via the standard payload interface and integrates with DJI Pilot 2 for in-flight control of light intensity, mode, and flasher
- Operating temperature -20 °C to 50 °C, suitable for cold-weather and warm-climate public-safety deployments alike

Operating modes
- Steady spotlight. Continuous high-intensity beam from the dual LEDs at operator-selected brightness. Used for sustained illumination of a target, search area, or scene below the aircraft — night search and rescue, perimeter watch, building or asset inspection, and ground-crew overhead lighting.
- AI Follow. The spotlight automatically tracks a subject the aircraft's camera has locked, keeping the beam centered on a moving person or vehicle without manual aiming. Useful for foot-pursuit, vehicle stops, search-and-rescue subject tracking, and any operation where the subject is mobile and the pilot needs both hands on the aircraft.
- Emergency flasher (red). Solid red flashing pattern for emergency-vehicle visibility, scene marking, or warning signaling.
- Emergency flasher (blue). Solid blue flashing pattern, often used for law-enforcement scene management or perimeter signaling.
- Combined. The flasher operates independently of the main spotlight, so the operator can run the searchlight alone, the flasher alone, or both at the same time depending on the mission.
Who this is for
- Public-safety agencies running Mavic 3 Enterprise Series aircraft for night search-and-rescue, missing-person sweeps, suspect tracking, scene illumination, and DFR operations where the smaller M3E platform is preferred over the larger M300/M350
- Law-enforcement agencies using the M3E or M3T as a daily-use overwatch aircraft and needing a spotlight payload sized for that smaller airframe
- Fire-service crews illuminating staging areas, access routes, or active scenes from above during overnight or low-light response, with the M3E's compact size making it easier to deploy and operate near scenes
- Search-and-rescue teams taking advantage of the AI Follow feature to keep a beam on a moving subject during foot or vehicle pursuit, without the pilot having to manually re-aim the light
- Inspection and security operators doing perimeter checks at facilities, infrastructure, or events where a small, agile aircraft with a controllable airborne light extends ground-team visibility
- DFR programs standardized on the Mavic 3 Enterprise platform that need a night-operations payload without stepping up to the larger M300/M350 + LP35 stack
What's included

- Quick-start documentation
- 1-year manufacturer warranty
Please note: The CZI GL10 is built specifically for the DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise Series (M3E, M3T, M3M). It is not compatible with the consumer Mavic 3 / Mavic 3 Pro / Mavic 3 Classic / Mavic 3 Cine, the Mavic 2 Enterprise, the Matrice 300/350 (use the CZI LP35 instead), the Matrice 30 Series (use the CZI LP12 instead), the Matrice 4 Series (use the DJI AL1 Spotlight instead), or any other DJI airframe. The aircraft, batteries, and controller are sold separately.
Installation and operational notes
- The GL10 attaches to the Mavic 3 Enterprise payload interface using the supplied mounting hardware. Follow the procedure in the CZI user manual and the DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise user manual to mount the payload and verify the connection before powering on the aircraft.
- Confirm the payload is recognized in DJI Pilot 2 before takeoff. The GL10 should appear as an addressable payload with light intensity, mode, and flasher controls accessible during flight.
- For AI Follow to work, the aircraft's camera must lock onto a target through DJI Pilot 2's tracking interface. Once a subject is locked, the GL10 follows the camera's gimbal direction automatically.
- Plan for reduced flight time when the GL10 is installed. The payload adds 150 g and draws up to 28 W during operation, particularly with both spotlight and flasher active. Practical flight-time impact is moderate, but the Mavic 3 Enterprise's compact battery means the operator notices the difference more than on a larger aircraft.
- Aim the spotlight responsibly. Directing a high-intensity beam into the eyes of pilots, drivers, or pedestrians can cause real safety hazards; agencies should follow established SOPs for aerial illumination, especially near roadways and aviation operations.
- Confirm local regulations on drone-mounted emergency-color flashing lights before deployment. Some jurisdictions restrict the use of red/blue flashing lights to authorized emergency vehicles; verify your agency's authority to operate these features on a UAS before flying with them active.
- Inspect the payload before every flight, including the LED lenses and mounting interface. Damage to the lens cover, gimbal mount, or interface can affect both light output and aircraft handling.
FAQ
Which aircraft is the GL10 compatible with?
The DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise Series — specifically the Mavic 3E (Enterprise), Mavic 3T (Thermal), and Mavic 3M (Multispectral). It connects through the DJI OSDK interface used on those aircraft. It is not compatible with the consumer Mavic 3 family (Mavic 3, Classic, Pro, Cine), the Mavic 2 Enterprise, or any of the Matrice / Avata airframes. Verify your aircraft model before ordering.
How bright is it, and how far does it reach?
The dual LEDs produce 1,800 lumens (±3%) in a 12.5° beam, effective at 50 to 150 m distance. At 150 m altitude the beam illuminates a 34 m diameter spot with a ~917 m² effective area and 1.6 lux of central illumination; at 50 m the illuminated area is smaller (~102 m²) but illumination is much brighter at 22.8 lux. Real-world performance is shorter than lab figures and depends on atmospheric conditions, ambient light, and target reflectivity.
What does AI Follow do?
AI Follow automatically keeps the spotlight on a subject the aircraft's camera has locked. The operator selects a target in DJI Pilot 2's tracking interface (a person, vehicle, or other identifiable object), and the GL10's gimbal automatically follows the camera's tracking direction. This means the pilot doesn't have to manually re-aim the light as the subject moves — useful in foot-pursuit, vehicle stops, and search-and-rescue scenarios where the subject is mobile.
Does it have flashing emergency lights?
Yes. The GL10 includes integrated red and blue flashing lights for emergency-vehicle visibility, scene-management signaling, or perimeter warning. The flasher operates independently of the main spotlight, so the operator can run the spotlight alone, the flasher alone, or both at the same time. Note that red/blue flashing lights are regulated in many jurisdictions; verify your agency's authority to use them on a UAS before deployment.
How does it differ from the CZI LP35 or LP12?
Different aircraft, different size class. The CZI LP35 is the combined spotlight + speaker + flasher payload for the Matrice 300 / 350 RTK (550 g, 90+ W). The CZI LP12 is the combined unit for the Matrice 30 Series. The GL10 is sized for the smaller Mavic 3 Enterprise platform — just 150 g and 28 W — and is spotlight + flasher only, with no speaker. If you need audio in addition to light on the Mavic 3 Enterprise, look at a separate broadcast payload rather than the GL10.
Is there an updated version available?
Yes — CZI also makes the GL10 V2, an upgraded variant with brighter output (~3,200 lumens vs. 1,800 lumens on the original GL10) and a more powerful LED. The original GL10 sold here is the right choice for most operators; the GL10 V2 is for missions that specifically need the additional brightness. Contact us if you want to compare the two versions or order the V2 specifically.
Does it affect flight time?
Yes, but modestly. The GL10 adds 150 g to the Mavic 3 Enterprise and draws up to 28 W from the aircraft when running the spotlight at full output. The practical impact on flight time depends on how often the light is at maximum versus dimmed or off, but most operators see a meaningful but manageable reduction in endurance compared to flights without the payload.
Is night flight permitted with this payload?
The GL10 is a payload; the rules governing night flight are independent of it. Under FAA Part 107, night operations are permitted with appropriate aircraft anti-collision lighting and pilot currency. The GL10's flasher does not by itself fulfill the Part 107 anti-collision strobe requirement under 14 CFR 107.29 — confirm your aircraft's strobe configuration meets that requirement separately. Public-safety operators should follow their agency's standard operating procedures for night flight and aerial illumination.
What's the warranty?
The GL10 ships with a 1-year limited manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Standard exclusions apply for damage from crashes, misuse, or unauthorized modification. Contact us for service or warranty questions.
