DJI
DJI Zenmuse V1 Speaker for Matrice Series
The DJI Zenmuse V1 is DJI's first gimbal-mounted speaker built for multi-payload enterprise drones, compatible with the Matrice 400, Matrice 350 RTK, and Matrice 300 RTK. It delivers high-volume, long-range audio broadcasting with a tilt-stabilized gimbal so the operator can aim sound at a target on the ground. On the Matrice 400 it reaches an effective broadcast distance of 700 m and a max sound pressure level of 129 dB at 1 m, and it supports live broadcasting, recorded playback, text-to-speech, and imported audio files. This makes it suited to public safety, emergency rescue, and other scenarios where communicating from the air matters.
Airborne loudspeaker with a 700 m effective broadcast distance, 129 dB max output, and a tilt-stabilized gimbal for the Matrice 400, 350 RTK, and 300 RTK.

Broadcast methods
The V1 supports several ways to get audio to the ground, managed through the DJI Pilot 2 app and the remote controller.
- Record and broadcast. Record a message on the controller with directional pickup and noise reduction, then play it back over the speaker on loop.
- Real-time broadcasting. Speak live through the speaker as you fly. Available on the Matrice 400 only.
- Text-to-speech. Type a message and have the speaker read it aloud, with stored messages for reuse. Six languages on the Matrice 400, two on the M300 RTK / 350 RTK.
- Audio file playback. Import local MP3, AAC, and WAV files. The Matrice 400 supports simultaneous file transfer and playback.
Who this is for
- Public-safety and law enforcement operators issuing verbal commands, warnings, or evacuation notices from the air
- Search-and-rescue teams broadcasting instructions or reassurance to people in hard-to-reach areas
- Emergency-management and disaster-response crews delivering announcements across a wide area during flooding, wildfire, or other incidents
- Event, crowd, and facility security teams communicating with people on the ground without deploying ground crews
- Operators pairing audio with a camera or spotlight payload for combined situational awareness and communication
What's included
- 1 × DJI Zenmuse V1 Speaker
Please note: The Zenmuse V1 is compatible with the DJI Matrice 400, Matrice 350 RTK, and Matrice 300 RTK, and mounts onto the aircraft's gimbal connectors via its detachable DJI SkyPort mount. On the Matrice 350 RTK and Matrice 300 RTK, the only compatible remote controller is the DJI RC Plus, and both the aircraft and controller must be updated to the latest firmware before use. Several capabilities are Matrice 400 exclusives: the 700 m broadcast distance and 129 dB output, real-time live broadcasting, six-language text-to-speech, simultaneous file transfer and playback, and Intelligent Volume Adjustment. On the M300 RTK / 350 RTK, expect 500 m and 127 dB, two-language text-to-speech, and no live broadcasting. The aircraft is sold separately. Verify your aircraft model and controller before ordering.
Use-case considerations: Use of drone-mounted loudspeakers may be subject to local noise ordinances, privacy rules, and public-address regulations depending on your jurisdiction and operation. Recording audio may also be governed by consent and privacy laws. Public-safety operators should follow their agency's standard operating procedures. Broadcast responsibly and at appropriate volume levels for the setting.
FAQ
Which aircraft is the Zenmuse V1 compatible with?
The DJI Matrice 400, Matrice 350 RTK, and Matrice 300 RTK. It mounts onto the aircraft's gimbal connectors via the detachable DJI SkyPort mount. Performance is highest on the Matrice 400.
Do I need anything special to use it on the Matrice 300 RTK or 350 RTK?
Yes. On both the Matrice 300 RTK and Matrice 350 RTK, the only compatible remote controller is the DJI RC Plus. Before flying, update both the aircraft and the remote controller to the latest firmware. On these airframes the speaker reaches 500 m and 127 dB, text-to-speech is limited to Chinese and English, and real-time live broadcasting is not available. Those are Matrice 400 features.
How loud is it and how far does it reach?
On the Matrice 400, the V1 reaches an effective broadcast distance of 700 m and a max sound pressure level of 129 dB at 1 m. On the Matrice 300 RTK and 350 RTK, it reaches 500 m and 127 dB. These are DJI lab figures at 25 °C; real-world results depend on the audio source, ambient noise, wind, and other conditions.
What are the different ways to broadcast?
Four methods: record a message and play it back on loop, broadcast live in real time (Matrice 400 only), use text-to-speech to read typed messages aloud, and play imported MP3, AAC, or WAV audio files. Recording uses directional pickup with noise reduction on the controller.
What languages does text-to-speech support?
On the Matrice 400: Chinese, English, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, and French. On the Matrice 300 RTK and 350 RTK: Chinese and English. Messages can be stored for reuse.
Is the speaker aimable?
Yes. The V1 has a single-axis (tilt) stabilized gimbal so you can direct audio at a target on the ground and hold it there while the aircraft maneuvers. The DJI Pilot 2 app can display an AR projection to show where the speaker is pointed.
What audio file formats does it support?
MP3, AAC, and WAV. When paired with the Matrice 400, it supports simultaneous file transfer and playback.
Is it weather resistant?
The V1 carries an IP54 ingress protection rating under controlled laboratory conditions per IEC 60529. The rating is not permanently effective and can decrease with product wear and tear.
Can I use it alongside a camera or spotlight?
Yes. The V1 supports gimbal synchronization for coordinated control with other gimbal-equipped payloads, so audio can be paired with imaging or lighting payloads on the same aircraft. Refer to the aircraft user manual for supported multi-payload configurations.
