Who this is for
- Federal, defense, and government programs that mandate a Blue UAS-cleared aircraft
- Public-safety agencies with strict data-security and procurement requirements
- Critical-infrastructure, utility, and inspection operators standardizing on a U.S.-made, fully compliant platform
- Mapping, survey, and ISR teams flying LiDAR, photogrammetry, EO/IR, or multispectral payloads on a trusted airframe
Compliance
This is the Blue UAS-certified configuration of the IF800 TOMCAT, on the DIU Blue UAS Cleared List, and it is also NDAA-compliant and Green UAS certified. It uses the Blue Herelink ground control station and a Blue-cleared flight controller. If your program does not require DIU Blue UAS certification, the IF800 TOMCAT is also available in a standard (non-Blue UAS) configuration. Contact us and we will make sure you get the configuration that matches your procurement requirements.
Please note: Configuration, included ground control station, payloads, and accessories vary by the options selected. Payloads are sold separately unless bundled. Confirm the exact contents and the compliance configuration (Blue UAS vs. standard) before ordering.
FAQ
Is this drone on the Blue UAS Cleared List?
Yes. The IF800 TOMCAT is certified Blue UAS by the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), and this is the Blue UAS configuration. It is also NDAA-compliant and Green UAS certified, and it is designed, manufactured, and supported in the United States.
What makes the Blue version different from the standard version?
Both share the same American-made airframe and performance. The Blue UAS version carries the DIU Blue UAS certification and ships with the Blue Herelink ground control station and a Blue-cleared flight controller. The standard configuration is NDAA-compliant and U.S.-made but not DIU Blue UAS certified.
How long can it fly and how much can it carry?
Up to 54 minutes of maximum flight time with the dual-battery system, and a 6.6 lb (3.0 kg) payload capacity. With payloads such as the Gremsy VIO or Sentera 65R, operators typically see over 40 minutes of real-world flight time with a safe return reserve.
What payloads can it carry?
An open ecosystem of optical cameras, EO/IR thermal payloads, LiDAR, multispectral sensors, and specialized tools through Inspired Flight's payload partners. Payloads are selected and sold separately.
What about batteries and turnaround?
It uses IB388 intelligent batteries with cell balancing, health monitoring, and cycle tracking. The dual-battery, hot-swappable design lets you change packs without fully powering down, and NFC reports pack status to the PilotGO app without powering on the aircraft.
What flight software does it run?
The trusted open-source ArduPilot autopilot on a CubePilot Cube Blue H7 flight controller, with Inspired Ground Control (IGC), a streamlined mission-planning interface based on QGroundControl.
