FAQ
Does it fit the DJI Mini 2 SE, Mini SE, or Mini 4K?
The case is precision-tooled specifically for the DJI Mini 2. GPC does not list other Mini variants as officially supported. The Mini SE, Mini 2 SE, and Mini 4K share a similar airframe shape with the Mini 2 and may fit, but exact fit and accessory cavity alignment may vary. For the Mini 3, Mini 3 Pro, Mini 4 Pro, and newer variants, GPC sells dedicated cases — those aircraft have different dimensions and should not be forced into this case.
Does it really float?
Yes. The combination of the watertight SKB shell and the closed-cell foam interior gives the loaded case enough buoyancy to float, which means if it goes overboard from a boat, kayak, or dock, the case stays at the surface long enough to recover. The watertight seal also keeps water out, so the Mini 2 and accessories inside stay dry.
Can I check this on an airline?
The case itself is rated for the impact and environmental stresses of airline travel. Flight batteries are a separate matter and are governed by airline rules. The DJI Mini 2 Intelligent Flight Battery (typically around 17 Wh) sits well under the FAA / IATA 100 Wh threshold for spare lithium batteries in carry-on, so spare batteries can travel with you in the cabin. Is there a version that fits the prop guard / cage?
Yes. GPC sells a separate "DJI Mini 2 Prop Cage Case" (GPC-DJI-MINI2-PG) that's larger and accommodates the Mini 2 with the optional prop cage / propeller guard installed. If you fly with the prop cage permanently mounted, that version is the better fit. The standard case sold here is for the Mini 2 with stock propellers folded and prop holder attached.
