V1 vs. V2: which one is right for me?
GPC sells two versions of the M300 hard case. The V1 (this product) is the original case, designed around the M300 RTK kit as it shipped with the Smart Controller Enterprise and the first-generation Zenmuse payload lineup (H20, H20T, Z15, Z30, XT2). The V2 is the updated case, redesigned for the current M300 RTK / M350 RTK kit with the DJI RC Plus controller and newer payloads.
- Choose the V1 if you're flying an M300 RTK with the Smart Controller Enterprise and using the older Zenmuse payload lineup (H20 / H20T / Z15 / Z30 / XT2). The V1 foam is tooled for that exact configuration.
- Choose the V2 if you've upgraded to the DJI RC Plus controller, or if you're flying a Matrice 350 RTK, or if you're using newer payloads (H30, H30T, L2, P1, etc.). The V2 foam is updated for the newer hardware.
If you're not sure which controller or payload generation you have, check the model labels on your hardware or in DJI Pilot 2 before ordering. The V2 listing is the better choice for new M350 RTK kits and modern M300 setups; the V1 is the right call for legacy M300 RTK configurations and operators with the older Smart Controller Enterprise.

FAQ
What's the difference between the V1 and V2 cases?
The V1 (this product) is the original GPC M300 case, designed for the Matrice 300 RTK as it shipped with the Smart Controller Enterprise and the original Zenmuse payload lineup (H20, H20T, Z15, Z30, XT2). The V2 is the updated version, designed for the current M300 RTK / M350 RTK configuration with the DJI RC Plus controller and newer payloads (H30, H30T, L2, P1). Same MIL-spec construction in both versions; the difference is the foam tooling. If you're flying with the Smart Controller Enterprise and original Zenmuse payloads, pick the V1; if you've upgraded to RC Plus or are on the M350, pick the V2.
How heavy is the case when fully loaded?
Empty weight is 28 pounds. Loaded with the M300 RTK aircraft (~6.3 kg / 14 lb), eight TB60 batteries (~1.35 kg / 3 lb each, ~24 lb total), two controllers, two WB37 batteries, payloads, and accessories, total weight is approximately 70-80 pounds. The inline skate wheels and pull handle are designed for that load — wheel the case rather than carrying it. The cushion grip side handle is for short lifts in and out of vehicles.
Can I check this on an airline?
The case shell is rated for the impact and environmental stresses of airline checked baggage, but the exterior dimensions (26.5 × 26.5 × 15.7 in) plus the loaded weight exceed standard checked baggage limits on most commercial airlines. Expect oversized/overweight surcharges and verify with your specific airline before traveling. Lithium-battery restrictions also apply: TB60 batteries are ~274 Wh each, far above the FAA / IATA 100 Wh threshold, and cannot fly as carry-on or checked baggage on a commercial passenger flight. TB60 batteries require Class 9 hazardous materials shipment by a licensed freight carrier.
Does the payload tray fit the H30 or H30T?
The V1 payload tray is tooled for the H20, H20T, Z15 spotlight, Z30, and XT2. The newer H30 and H30T payloads have different dimensions and may not seat correctly in the V1 tray. For H30-series payloads or other newer Zenmuse products, the V2 case is the better choice. If you're flying H20-series payloads on an M300 RTK, the V1 is correct.
What if I have an M350 RTK?
The Matrice 350 RTK has a similar airframe to the M300 RTK and may fit the V1 case mechanically, but the V1 was specifically tooled for the M300 RTK with Smart Controller Enterprise. Most M350 RTK operators run the RC Plus controller, which doesn't match the V1 controller cavity. The V2 case is the right choice for M350 RTK kits. If you're running an M350 RTK with the legacy Smart Controller Enterprise (rare), contact us to confirm fit before ordering.
Is the case lockable?
Yes. The padlock holes are reinforced with stainless steel padlock protector clips. The case accepts standard padlocks (sold separately). For programs that need TSA-compliant locks or specific security ratings, verify the padlock specifications against your organization's policy.
Can I customize the foam?
The V1 foam is tooled for the standard M300 RTK kit, including the removable payload tray with perforated cavities for individual Zenmuse payloads. If you don't carry one of the supported payloads, you can pluck the perforated foam to convert the cavity to general storage. For fully custom foam cuts, GPC offers custom foam services as a separate order.
Where is it made?
Designed and built in Poway, California by Go Professional Cases — the same manufacturer that supplies hard cases for DJI's enterprise drone lineup used by public-safety, surveying, federal, and commercial operators. The shells are SKB military-spec, and the foam is water-jet cut in-house in the United States.
What's the warranty?
The GPC case ships with a lifetime replacement guarantee from Go Professional Cases against manufacturing defects in the shell, hinge, latch hardware, and wheels. The foam insert is consumable; replacement foam is available as a separate SKU if needed. Standard exclusions apply for damage from extreme misuse or unauthorized modification.
