DJI
D-RTK 3 Survey Pole and Tripod Kit
The DJI D-RTK 3 Survey Pole and Tripod Kit is the companion mounting solution for the DJI D-RTK 3 Multifunctional Station. It bundles a self-locking survey pole that extends from 125 cm to 200 cm with a dual-lock tripod that levels in seconds, both built around the standard 5/8-11 surveying thread used across the industry. Set up the tripod for stationary base-station work, or run the pole solo for rover-mode ground control point collection. Combined package weight is approximately 4.96 kg.
Field-ready pole and tripod for the DJI D-RTK 3. Self-locking pole, dual-lock tripod, standard 5/8-11 thread.
Features
- Designed to pair with the DJI D-RTK 3 Multifunctional Station, supporting both Base Station Mode (tripod setup) and Rover Station Mode (pole only) without a second mounting solution
- Self-locking survey pole with easy height adjustment between 125 cm and 200 cm, so the operator can switch from short-rod GCP work to a tall, line-of-sight base setup without swapping equipment
- Dual-lock tripod with a fast leveling design, getting the D-RTK 3 plumb and stable in less time than a typical single-lock survey tripod
- Standard 5/8-11 thread interface on the pole, the universal surveying mount: works with the D-RTK 3 directly and with most third-party surveying accessories that use the same standard
- Survey pole weighs approximately 900 g, light enough to carry through brush or a long site walk without dominating the kit weight
- Dual-lock tripod weighs approximately 2.8 kg, heavy enough to stay planted in wind and on uneven ground without being burdensome to transport

How operators use it
The kit's two pieces address the two modes most D-RTK 3 operators run on a job site:
- Base Station Mode with the tripod. Mount the D-RTK 3 on the tripod, level it with the dual-lock mechanism, and broadcast RTK corrections to the aircraft for the duration of the mission. The tripod's height and footprint give the station a clear sky view and a stable platform that resists wind on open sites.
- Rover Station Mode with the pole. Detach the D-RTK 3 from the tripod, thread it onto the survey pole, and walk the site collecting ground control points or check points. The self-locking pole adjusts between 125 cm and 200 cm in seconds, so the operator can match the rod height to the terrain or to a comfortable carrying position.
- Both, on the same site. Set up the tripod at the local base position for the flight, then disconnect and pole-mount the D-RTK 3 for GCP work without redeploying or recalibrating. The kit is sized to live in one case alongside the station.
Who this is for
- D-RTK 3 Multifunctional Station owners who need a tripod and pole sized specifically for the station, with the right mounting thread and height range
- Surveying and mapping crews running ground control point workflows alongside drone flights, where the same operator wants to fly the mission and walk the site
- Inspection and survey contractors deploying RTK base stations on temporary sites, where a quick-leveling tripod saves measurable time across a day of operations
- D-RTK 3 AG package operators using the station for agricultural surveying and mapping
- Operators replacing or augmenting an aging survey tripod and rod kit with hardware built and validated for the D-RTK 3 platform
What's included
- 1 × Self-locking survey pole
- 1 × Dual-lock tripod
Setup and care
- Thread the D-RTK 3 onto the pole or tripod head finger-tight; both interfaces use the standard 5/8-11 thread and do not require tools.
- Level the tripod using the dual-lock mechanism before powering on the D-RTK 3 in Base Station Mode. A consistent base position across the survey is the foundation of accurate RTK corrections.
- When transferring the D-RTK 3 between the tripod and pole on the same site, the station does not need to be re-initialized for rover work, though confirm fix status before recording points.
- Inspect both the pole's self-locking mechanism and the tripod's locking levers periodically. Mud, fine dust, and prolonged wet exposure can degrade lock action over time; rinse and dry before storage.
- Store the kit in a dry case. Aluminum and composite poles and tripods tolerate field conditions well, but corrosion at the thread interface is the most common cause of long-term failure on surveying gear.
Please note: The D-RTK 3 Multifunctional Station is sold separately and is required to use this kit. The kit contains the survey pole and tripod only; cases, additional thread adapters, and other accessories are not included. The 5/8-11 thread interface follows the standard surveying convention, so the pole and tripod can also accept third-party surveying instruments that use the same mount.
FAQ
What does the kit include?
One self-locking survey pole and one dual-lock tripod. Both use the standard 5/8-11 surveying thread to mount the D-RTK 3 Multifunctional Station. The D-RTK 3 itself, cases, and any other accessories are sold separately.
Which D-RTK is this compatible with?
The DJI D-RTK 3 Multifunctional Station, including the D-RTK 3 AG package. The 5/8-11 thread on the pole is a standard surveying mount, so it can also accept compatible third-party surveying instruments. It is not specifically designed for the older DJI D-RTK 2 Mobile Station, which has its own dedicated tripod.
How tall does the pole extend?
From 125 cm to 200 cm, not counting the 5/8-11 thread at the top. The self-locking mechanism lets you set any height in that range in seconds without separate tools. For typical rover work, most surveyors run the pole near the lower end of the range for comfort; for sky-view-critical base station deployments, the full extension helps clear obstructions.
Can I leave the D-RTK 3 mounted on the pole or tripod between sites?
It's fine for short transfers between site stations, but for transport in a vehicle or aircraft we recommend detaching the D-RTK 3 and storing the pole and tripod separately. Long transport loads on the thread interface can loosen the mount over time and increase wear on the locking mechanisms.
Does the dual-lock tripod work on uneven ground?
Yes. The dual-lock design adjusts each leg independently and locks at two points, which speeds up leveling on sloped or broken ground compared to a single-lock tripod. Set up on the most stable surface available, especially on long-duration base-station deployments where wind can shift a poorly-planted tripod over time.
Is a case included?
No. The kit ships with the pole and tripod only. Most operators carry the pole and tripod in a soft case or duffel for site transport; if your D-RTK 3 station already came with a case, the pole and tripod can also be transported separately.
Can I use the pole with a different RTK base or surveying instrument?
The pole uses the standard 5/8-11 thread, so mechanically yes — most surveying RTK bases, total stations, and prisms use the same thread. The pole's height range, weight, and lock design are tuned for the D-RTK 3, so a heavier survey-grade instrument may sit fine on the pole but the dual-lock tripod is sized for the D-RTK 3's mass. Heavier instruments are better served by a dedicated heavy tripod.
